Who We Are
Detroit Oakland Serra is a local lay apostolate affiliated with Serra USA and Serra International.
Our mission is to enrich and live out our Catholic faith by promoting and fostering vocations to the religious life. Our operations are threefold:- We learn about the many and varied backgrounds and "vocation call moments" for speakers at our monthly meetings.
- We direct projects that support priests and seminarians.
- Most importantly, we work throughout the AOD to promote a "culture of vocations" within our families, parishes and schools, knowing that our future priests and religious will come from among these communities.
